Wildly over-the-top performances and only mildly accurate in the historical sense, House of Gucci is still highly entertaining thanks to the knock-out cast led by Lady Gage and Adam Driver. I also love the soundtrack which has equal measure of 70s-80s pop and sweeping classical pieces. It's also an Italian soap opera crossed with The Godfather - good or bad, Ridley Scott isn't afraid to go there.

Wildly histrionic but never boring, the rise and fall of Gucci is recreated as an Italian soap opera with a Ridley Scott budget. Lady Gaga sinks her teeth into the role of a scheming social climber. Adam Driver is her beleaguered husband. Jared Leto made me laugh so much as the oafish black sheep of the family. There's solid support work from Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons. If there is a major issue I had with the movie, it does feel long at times.

Why in God's name is Sir Ridley Scott making a Godfather parody in 2022?

Ridley Scott squanders an A-list cast and promising true-crime story about greed and indulgence in this lethargic and uninspired star-studded dud.

More like 'House of Goofy' Jared Leto was entertaining though. Driver and Gaga were also good.
