eh..typical lawyer movie. Nothing new but somewhat kept your attention with the talented Anythony Hopkins. Rating: C-

This movie kind of seems like he is just trying to play off the role of hannibal lector a little farther. I actually liked the movie up until about the last 5 minutes of it. The movie is decent until the ending which leaves off as a big disappointment. The movie was building and building up to something huge that was going to happen at the end but the thing is nothing happens. If the ending was better this movie would have gotten a better rating but it dragged it down abit.

This is a pretty good incarnation of the "driven heartless lawyer trying to make it big but suddenly discovers his soul in time to give a happy ending" theme. The nice thing about this version is anthony hopkins who is able to carry this movie and make it honestly enjoyable, despite the tired theme and common cliches. The often comedic interplay between the two main characters is also welcome and adds a lot to the movie. The mysterious whereabouts of the final 'clue', however, isn't all that mysterious and, since you can figure it out early on, doesn't do much to add to the intrigue of the movie.
