A pair of high flying New Yorkers Brad and Caroline (Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley) hide out in the home of an Amish family pretending to be their long lost cousins (Jacob and Emma Yoder) to evade the IRS, when they find out that their crooked accountant has filed erroneous tax claims and embezzled their money.
Time passes, and as their lawyer Phil Kleinman (Michael Lerner) tries to work things out for them, Brad and Caroline learn some important lessons along the way as they try to adapt to the new way of life and soon they even begin to grow fond of each other again.
Heart-warming, funny and you have to watch Brad’s face when he has to eat a casserole of lung, liver and kidney prepared by his beautiful wife who never had to work so hard in her life to prepare a meal. Cute! …
