Denzel Washington stars as (surprise, surprise) Denzel Washington in a ludicrous supernatural thriller which could have been excellent if it had grown a sense of humour. Unfortunately the entire cast, Denzel in particular, are laughably po-faced about the whole thing. A film John Carpenter SHOULD have made.

Each time I watch this, it seems to get better and better. It's a good mystery that leads to one of my favorite kind of twist endings. Pretty dark, but that's the way I like things.
