I knew what to expect from this documentary before watching, because it comes from the same filmmakers who gave us the immaculate 'Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy'. 'Crystal Lake Memories' takes the exact same approach and format in covering the Friday the 13th series. It's every bit as informative and entertaining as the Nightmare on Elm Street documentary. The only difference here, besides the topic, is the number of titles in the Friday series (12). This makes for a VERY long running time that clocks in at just over 6 hours! Though, I must say, it's the fastest 6 hours I've ever sat through. Yes, I watched this beast in one sitting. The experience felt much shorter than it actually was. I just couldn't stop watching.
