A little too family friendly for an end-of-the-world flick -- with a ending a little too neat. I enjoy it despite myself . . . every time I watch it.

Michael Bay along with Emmerich are my men at the time of making fun films. Some are really garbage, some are descent. With this one, well, you can catch me watching it everytime that's aired on TV. The twisters and big tsunami on NY is something that's awesomely achieved.

A huge chunk of this reminds me of Independence Day (though not as good). It has awesome special affects and a semi interesting story line. What's funny is that it looks like this movie could come true some day. Sometimes too much cheese.

A popcorn flick all the way - big special effects, the star-of-the-moment (Jake Gyllenhaal), the family in crisis - heck, it even has a sick girl in need of companionship. A little too neat and sweet for my tastes, but still enjoyable.
