I didn't go for the digital grading which gives the film a cheap look that belies its $27m budget. There are numerous plot holes and less than credible characters that artistic license does not even begin to cover. But the premise, coupled with solid performances from Bradley Copper and Abie Cornish sweep all before it. It's also notable for being the first half-decent film Anna Friel has appeared in.

Smartly crafted film about a shared desire among most of us. It's sort of engaging and has wide appeal. Bradley Cooper carries the film with a solid performance. Recommendable to almost anyone.
