Every Day tries its hardest to seem significant, but it's populated by such vacant soap opera caricatures that none of its themes or emotional beats resonate. It's silly, convenient, and, worst of all, mostly boring, as the script gives us an unlikable family that it somehow wants us to sympathize with.
