Jingoistic Northern epic about a Texas Ranger (Cooper) helping the Canadian authorities put down a rebellion. Cooper is oddly more of a passive observer than a real action lead in this. Paulette Goddard is most interesting as a conniving temptress. The love triangle is boring. The action is fine but not particularly memorable. The technicolor looks great though.
