Shortly after the events of Halloween, Laurie Strode survives another potential massacre at the Haddonfield General Hospital before her deranged brother disappears. She attempts to put the events behind her, but two years later Michael is preparing his own return and it will be a fight to survive once again. This movie is a big fat joke with stupid sense with Micheal Meyers wearing a hood and mean while eating his victims.

Whereas Rob Zombies original Halloween remake attempted to do something new with the Michael Meyers story, in this sequel, he goes straight to the gore and offers a ludicrous story in return. It's almost getting into torture porn territory here. If you appreciate violence, have at it, just don't expect much more.

Zombie is free from emulating any of the previous Halloween films and continues where his remake left off in an unconventional and incomprehensible way. The story and characters are poor. Absolutely no reasonings are given for the 180 shifts in the returning character's personalities, or for the many bizarre random moments scattered about. Nothing makes sense. Each of the overly bloody/nasty murders are elongated to the point of overkill. The end result is one cruddy, bloody, confusing mess.

I really liked this movie. Rob Zombie has a way of making my skin crawl as well as making me want to go and kill someone. I love this revisioning of the classic horror genre and I really REALLY liked the way that he directed the artistic motifs through it. Better than the first and almost up to par with the original, this is a must see.
