Serviceable but ultimately perfectly typical political thrilled. Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams are pretty good, as is the rest of the cast, but as has been said the story lacks that punch to make it more than a casual watcher.

A semi okay thriller that has a big twist kind of in the end, where it is not your standard thriller. IT is not great but it is okay. There is nothing too special about it is not really too thriller or overly smart but it is somewhat thriller and slightly smart. It is fairly well acted and the story only has a few holes, but it could have been better for sure. I would say see it but not in a overly pressing way.

absolutely great cast, but it lacked something. the twist at the end was just unnecessary. Still very nice to see Russell Crowe, even if he's not wearing a toga.

This was an interesting movie. I enjoyed the characters, but thought the overall story was very long and pretty boring in general. The best part of the movie for me was the Rachel McAdams character name was Della Frye. That was my grandmother's name (spelled a bit different). Seeing that was the most exciting part for me, I couldn't give this movie much above 2 stars. It would have been a good renter, but not one that you need to see on the big screen.

This film had a pretty good buildup, there's an intriguing story and great acting all around. I guess my one complaint is that the film spends an hour and fifty minutes building up to a logical conclusion, then surprises you with the overdone "twist" ending that felt more like an annoying surprise than a respectable one. I then had to revisit the entire film in memory and see if it was plausible and quite frankly, what it was building up to was more interesting and realistic. But other than that, I'd probably still recommend it, I'm probably just being overly picky regarding the end.

too loosey-goosey lacks tension and cohesion. it just floats along. The plot seems longer beause it dies very early and becomes rather reative instead of having some central point. I was hoping for it to come to some ending much quicker to run out of the theater.
