Sort of a cross between Preminger's Laura and Hitchcock's Psycho, this tense mystery yarn benefits from a menacing performance by Richard Boone and a crazier one by Aaron Spelling. Jean Peters makes a lovely object of obsession and Jeanne Crain is solid as her devoted sister.
