A pretty entertaining watch. For the first time I can look at Jason Statham as an actor and not some guy who monotones his delivery and can fight really good. I would have liked to have known a little bit about some of the supporting characters, but the story is pretty interesting and it holds on to your attention until the end. It's one of those where I don't feel the need to see it again, but for a 5 dollar matinee, it wasn't bad.

I am in awe of Jason Statham. He can do anything. But his heist movies are really incredible, because of his wry sense of humor and his ability to make the story believable. I felt there were some unnecessary scenes with nudity, but it ended up playing into the plot so that is excusable. Lots of twists and turns, the movie felt a little long. However, everything paid off in the end, even including the expensive theater tickets.

The setup and execution in the first half of the movie was simply brilliant and had me "on the edge of my seat". The bank robbery and everything leading up to it was very nicely done with multiple characters and their interweaving connection to the whole thing. It's too bad the sputter to the finish line almost ruined what could have been great. The big shit storm that came at the end was wrapped up much too neatly and easily for my liking.
