It had one good idea and a couple of the ghosts were creepy, but the whole movie is just lame.

now I know this is a remake of William Castle's cult classic.but come on,this film was not a bad remake,it was actually pretty decent.this film had some good scares.the film had some pretty cool special effects.and the cast was actually pretty damn good.Matthew Lillard and Shannon Elizabeth are purely great in this film.I cannot lie and say it was a bad movie,because I actually found myself amused at times,and even creeped out.this film is not that bad,don't listen to what your friends tell ya'.this film was actually decent and yes,it's worth an hour and twenty six minutes of your life.

I like Tony Shalhoub and Shannon Elizabeth, so, I knew that at least the film would have something fun, and sexy. Is not a great thing, but it got my attention and entertained me enough.

The idea was great. But, that's about it. The acting was subpar at best. The whole thing could've been done better, but I still like something about it.

To call this horror is just plain wrong. Aside from a few interesting ghost designs, this has nothing going for it. It's not scary, in fact I thought it was kind of silly. Having Matthew Lillard as a main character doesn't help either.
