Chaplin review

Fictional character George Hayden (Anthony Hopkins) talks to Charles Chaplin (Robert Downey Jr.) about his life. The impressive casting and screenplay did the movie justice. It does however lacks that entertainment value. It was interesting to learn Chaplin's roots and love life, though it has some laughable moments and Robert Downy Jr. did a splendid job of his portrayal. Best lines: Charlie Chaplin - "If you want to understand me, watch my movies." "Nothing quite like it. The feeling of film." and Hoover - "From my way of thinking, Motion Pictures are potentially the most influential form of communication ever invented. And there's no control over it." Chaplin is a good look at one of the motion picture geniuses/icons who ever existed while witnessing the golden age of "talkies" and silent films.
