A witty rom-com that never dulls and has realistic humor without cheesy lines or moments. Great artists who played their parts well in this underrated picture. Loretta Castorini (Cher) was asked by Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello) to marry him. Younger brother of Johnny, Ronny (Nicolas Cage), become close with Loretta. Cosmo (Vincent Gardenia) is having lunch at a fancy restaurant with his mistress Mona (Anita Gillette). Rose (Olympia Dukakis) give advise to Loretta. The acting, score and screenplay were spectacular. The overload of characters though somewhat distracts the main plot of the leads. So many memorable quotes: "A person can see where they've messed up in their life, and they can change how they do things, and they can change their Luck. Maybe my nature does draw me to you, but I don't haveta go with that." from Loretta and "We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us." from Ronny. Moonstruck is an authentic romantic comedy with a talented cast and brilliant dialogue about infidelity, imperfections (Ronny), never growing up (Johnny) and love (Loretta).
