John Carruthers (Wayne) tries to capture the Polka Dot Bandit (Yakima Canutt), who stole $4,000. The locations were pleasing to the eye. The sherif and John rescues Betty Mason (Eleanor Hunt). Action picks up past 21min. and a lot of horseback chases and cool stunts. If only the screenplay were better and having a decent antagonist. The cheesy ending and some of the dull acting hurts the film, Blue Steel can be considered a good western.
