Passable but mediocre. While I usually love Drew Barrymore she was dreadful here. It's clear they were going for the Judd Apatow approach of raunchy as funny but it does not work here at all. I don't pretend to know what an actress like Drew Barrymore is actually like but her attempt at being raunchy just comes off as extremely forced, as if she's actively trying to change her image and it just doesn't work, she can't pull of this character at all. Not to mention I don't know if they were trying to do this but she looks very old here, way beyond her years and the way that I have seen her look in press photos and other movies from around the same time. Where as Justin Long looks like a teenager. This might be a case of the worst makeup artist on a movie ever for what they did to poor Drew, making her look like a recovering crack head in her mid to late 40's to fit the raunchy persona of the character. The plot is bland but it's entertaining for the watch, forgettable soon afterwords. When the best part of your movie is it's soundtrack you've got problems.
