One of the best from the great John Candy

This is one of those movies that you get when you just want a really good laugh. John Candy at his absolute best, he was hilarious throughout this whole movie. He plays a man that has spent the last 20 years as an air traffic controller and he is starting to lose it. Now that he is in the middle of a nervous breakdown he is told that he has to take some time off and relax. So he takes his family on a vacation to the beach where he has rented a place to stay.
Without getting too far into it, this is one of the classic summer movies where nothing goes right, and everything that you could never dream about happening does. Everything from starting his vacation hurting his leg, to having his dog Archie drive him even more crazy, this movie is very funny. If you are a fan of John Candy you have to see this movie.
