This movie has it all, a love story, action-drama, incredible acting and one of the least of my favorites, subtitles. However, like 'Life is Beautiful' there is no need to read, for you understand what is happening by the emotion of the film. This film takes you on the life of the lead actor and through all his hardships that come his way. But we find out that what he has learned through these exact hardships are all the answers to the game shows questions. No one can figure out how this 'slumdog' is able to get so far without having any kind of education. Not only do the authorities end up kidnapping him after the end of the day during a taping of the show, for they, like everyone, thinks he is cheating, but we find out the gameshow host himself was a 'slumdog' and does not wish for boy to succeed. The country watches this boy as he approaches the last question, and wants him to win the money, meanwhile, all he wants is for this girl that he knew as a child and has come on the show to seek to know where he is. His whole reasoning for being on the show is because he knew that his love watches the show. And it was more than likely the last chance he has to get her back. Needless to say that by the end of the movie, he becomes one of the richest people in the world, not because he has won the show, but because his heart has won one of Life's games--Finding true Love!!
