An extremely emotional film, that examines a couple who faces a huge test when one develops Alzheimer's to a point where she must enter a retirement home. Julie Christie is exceptional as her portrayal of the disease is shocking - her character literally transforms before your eyes. Truly a great performance, it's easy to see why she won so many awards. The supporting cast is strong as well. Not a happy film, it's one to watch for the performance.
