Highly entertaining installment in the surprisingly durable “Predator” series. It moves the action to an alien death planet where an outcast warrior teams up with a damaged android to survive.
The unlikely buddy-comedy approach works far better than expected. Think “Enemy Mine” (1985) except with a Predator and a robot. The various fights with different monsters are exciting.
But it even allows for some genuine dramatic moments in the script. Who had thought this iconic scifi villain could be used for relatable protagonists as well?
