Joe Carnahan was once a promising action director but whatever clout he once had is now squandered. You can see the traces of his hard-hitting style in the shootouts and fight scenes. And there is at least one decent car chase in the fog. But the writing is crap. Mark Strong is pretty goofy as the villain but he seems like he's enjoying himself. Omar Sy and Kerry Washington have no chemistry together. It is so weird that Da'Vine Joy Randolph is in this. She won an oscar, what is she doing?
