The Wild and the Innocent

Culture clash ensues when two mountain youths (Murphy, Dee) venture out to a rough and seedy town. There is hardly any action to the story. Sandra Dee is immediately endearing and charming. But Audie Murphy was not very likable in this. He was too much of a jerk. Gilbert Roland and Joanne Dru show up and they are both good. But it’s not enough when I think the girl is making a mistake by actually staying with the “hero”.
