A western that acts similar to a home invasion styled thriller in terms of plot.
It pits a farmer against a siege by ruthless gunmen working for a megalomaniacal rancher. Complicating matters is a family who get stuck in the middle and seek shelter with the farmer in an isolated canyon.
The plot has moments of genuine tension but it is slow in the first half. Dan Duryea is memorable as the villain.
