This is for the 2024 Netflix movie Spaceman starring Adam Sandler:
I'll admit that this movie did not grab me for the first thirty, forty minutes. Even when the giant talking spider shows up. But as it went along, it got more interesting and I became more engaged. Adam Sandler is good in this but Paul Dano is the highlight as the spider. A lot of the emotional beats are thrust forward by him and he really sells it despite the absolutely nutty idea that he's voicing a giant space spider! Carey Mulligan's role is honestly the least interesting and it's a part that could had been played by anybody.
