Whimsical Disney fantasy about a wily Irishman matching wits against the king of leprechauns. It’s noteworthy for an early role by Sean Connery, unknowingly honing in some familiar Bond quirks. The film is bright and colorful but unafraid to cross heavier emotional territory. The climactic showdown with a hauntingly recreated banshee is creepy stuff.
