Uneven action-comedy that features an unusually understated Schwarzenegger performance but pairs him with an obnoxious partner in the form of Jim Belushi. Seriously, Belushi gives one of his most annoying performances in this movie.
Despite the amusing set-up, the movie is actually a dour affair that takes itself pretty seriously. We never really see Belushi and Schwarzenegger connect and form a genuine friendship;they really only "like" each other because the plot demands it. Almost the anti-Twins if you will.
Ed O'Ross provides some great character work as a legitimately intimidating villain. The bus chase is a nice final action scene but the carnage and absurdity that happens during that scene makes you wish the whole movie was like that. Instead of the dark gloomy affair it actually turns to be.
