Offbeat anti-romantic comedy that starts out interesting with a jaded edge to it and both leads firmly in pessimistic jerkass mode. And it's funny for the most part. But then it becomes a more safe and traditional "slap-slap-kiss" type of love story towards the end. It's an odd move by Keanu Reeves but he and Winona Ryder seem to be having fun here.
