A overview of the life of Christy Brown. Christy was born a quadriplegic to a large, poor Irish family. He was believed to be mentally retarded for the first 10 years of his life, but thanks to a strong-willed mother and a dedicated teacher he becomes a celebrated writer, poet, and artist. This movie has outstanding acting by Daniel Day-Lewis and the rest of the cast.
