One of the earlier big westerns. The production has a nice 'classic' feel to it. I very much enjoyed the performances from the main actors, Wayne and Clift. Their core conflict gradually surfaces, giving us a dilemma between characters where you can sympathize with both sides. You may not agree with Wayne's harsh methods, but it's easy to see his reasoning. A story worth investing in. There's also plenty of the usual cowboy tropes you'd expect. The mass amount of cattle on screen at any given time is still a great sight. A well done piece that every western fan should see.
