Despite the fact the ending nicely sets up the 1939 'Wizard of Oz', I felt the creation of the Wicked Witch character could've been handled much better. Most will not care for the so-so writing and miscast of Mila Kunis. Director Raimi makes up for the shortcomings with his fantastic visual style and great humor. It stands as a fine addition to the 'Oz' mythology and delivers a fun nostalgic fantasy adventure.
