This is the End

Stupid, but funny.

Seth Rogen is a funny guy. And here, along with Evan Goldberg, he crafted not only a funny movie, but a visually legitimate movie.
This is the End is the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. Seth Rogen created something he knew the people would like, because this movie has it all. ALL.
The idea itself is just so funny. Actors playing fictional versions of themselves, including James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill and many more (WOW! What a cast!).
I loved the way the movie just made fun of itself. They make fun of James Franco because he was Oscar-nominated, so suddenly he's classy and collects art. Jonah Hill is the exact counterpart of his movie roles, he's the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. Danny McBride is… still Danny McBride. Even though he makes fun of himself, he's still not funny. He was just a jerk.
The actors have amazing chemistry, especially Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen. This movie is a feast of laughs between the actors.
The direction was surprisingly great. Good job, the effects were actually kind of cool.
Now, I know this movie is supposed to be silly, but that is also its fatal flaw.
There are tons of dramatic moments between the characters and they don't feel right. If you're going to make a silly movie, make it just silly and don't constantly interlude the story with unnecessary dramatic undertones.
Some jokes didn't feel right. They were a little underdeveloped and could have been examined more closely. Some of them even don't make sense. For example, something happens to Jonah Hill (which I will not spoil), and it felt out of place. It just showed up and decided 'I'm a joke!'.
Plus, the area near the ending and the ending itself were just stupid. Yes, I know it's supposed to be stupid, but it left me in my seat in the theater saying 'Come on, seriously?'.
They way they left things made me want to find out what happened and didn't give me the correct plot construction I wanted.

Even though this movie is not perfectly constructed and has a few undertones you can't take seriously, it has many laugh-out-loud moments and references that will bring joy to fans and haters. Whew! Enough di*k jokes for a lifetime!
