Bradley Cooper, where have you been all these years?

Another comedy classic for the future, written and directed by David O. Russell (Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees, The Fighter) and starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver and… CHRIS TUCKER?
The story is about Pat Solitano, Jr., an undiagnosed bi-polar, who was the victim of a mental breakdown after catching his wife in the shower with his colleague.
Jennifer Lawrence plays Tiffany Maxwell, a young woman with similar problems in her life.
I'll say it right off the bat: This movie is phenomenal.
The script is quirky, funny, warm-hearted and hits the line between comedy and drama perfectly.
The acting is purely authentic. Bradley Cooper had a really good year in 2012; with this film and The Place Beyond the Pines premiering at TIFF, he really proves he's more than the guy from The Hangover.
Jennifer Lawrence is also heading in the right direction and deservedly received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Robert De Niro makes a surprising comeback as Pat, Sr., a man who is shockingly similar in his habits to his son.
Before the end credits roll on the screen, you get a simply beautiful shot. Watch the whole movie just for the ending, it certainly warmed up my heart.

All in all, Silver Linings Playbook has great acting, clever script and an all-round atmosphere to lift you off your feet and applaud this brilliant piece of filmmaking.
