The Recruit

Everything Is A Test!

Trust, Betrayal, Deception! In "The Recruit," nothing is what it seems.
The story focuses on James Clayton (Colin Farrell) a maverick MIT grad who develops innovative software. He catches the eye of a major computer company, as well as the eye of CIA recruiter Walter Burke (Al Pacino) who tells James that he has the perfect combination of attitude and aptitude to be a great operative. James is ready to blow him off but Burke lures him in by dropping hints about his father, an oil company executive (or was he?) who disappeared in South America in 1990 who may or may not have worked for `the Company.'

Desperate for information about his father's death and filled with youthful aspirations, he falls easily into all the deceit that the CIA has to offer and agrees to join the agency. Clayton is sent to a CIA training facility, known as ‘The Farm.' Whilest there, he meets a woman Layla played by the beautiful, Bridget Moynahan and undergoes intense physical and psychological training in order to become a possible sleeper agent.

The story takes another turn as he is given a task to prevent a fellow newly recruited spy stealing priceless information from the CIA's headquarters. A great thriller that leaves everyone wondering whether or not Farrell was just crazy or if Burke, who constantly reminds everyone that he's one scary judge of talent is just manipulating him for his own self interests.
