Super 8 is not super, but good thriller

Super 8, directed by J.J abrams( fame of Star Trek ), has crafted a movie that focuses the enthusiasm of young children, to make a movie with their super 8 camera. Looking at the title and the theme behind his work, I can say that title did justify the movie, but when the real plot opens up, we feel as if it was been only 50% justified. This movie has more. We see a train wrecking up when a car bashes the front of it. We see children running scared from the train collapsing and also we find something mysterious behind this accident. There are still a lot to cover up in this movie. We get to see family problems, some love stories trying to get itself in the basic plot and we have a self explanatory narration.
The movie has a plot, that is emotional, gripping , enthusiastic and also thrilling. When the movie begins I had a feeling that, there is something in this. The reason is after I watched the trailer of the movie, I did find one thing important in the movie. The train collapse. I really waited for the scene and once it finished, I felt that how the hell it happened like that? Questions were around my mind, and finally I am satisfied that I got the answer, not in the usual way, but rather a thrilling way. After the train scene, it showed dogs getting disappeared , and also people getting abducted, by a forceful , large looming machine or something. We get a bad army officer, trying to prove himself as a bad guy. Having all these questions in mind, I need answers for all. The plot development was perfect and answers are obtained at the end of the movie. This movie is a thriller with a story to tell.
There were great characters in the movie. The children in the movie are the highlight. Elle fanning as the girl is charming and brilliant in acting. Joel coutney is terrific as the boy who solves the mysterious case and his character is etched perfectly. We have Kyle chandler ( from king kong 2005 ) , who has a very good character. We have other children also in the movie doing an evenly perfect role. I need to mention about an enthusiastic movie director Riley Griffith , played as Charles. I would not forget that boy. He was so brilliant in his acting. Rest others were almost good enough.
Dialogues were looking normal and there were no extraordinary dialogues that will settle in the minds of audiences. Performances , were too good. The children were the real show stealers and they mesmerized the viewers with their cool performance.
Presentation was cool. I enjoyed the cinematography, and also the camera work during the CGI train collapse, and also during the mysterious scenes. It was really great. Music was normal and thrilling tones were heard at the time of train collapse. Editing was really good and the thrill was kept intact till the end, almost end. Sound mixing and other departments are really effective to keep the viewers engaged.
Good: Thrill maintained, performances, direction, presentation.
Bad: Regular goofy concept , to suit as a sci-fi flick. The train concept and teacher story was not so greatly explained. The intention of Charles to make movies was not clearly mentioned.
Bottom line: A good thriller with classic performances, and brilliant presentation. I give the movie A.
