oh I'm talking about your Top Movie List. I still haven't done a review on a lot of those.

Ahhh... .see you have hit upon what I am trying not to do. Part of my thought process when wanting to start this website was because I would read a review and see 3.5/4 stars and get psyched about it and then I would be disappointed because I was bored. So it left me thinking, a movie should do both. But if it cannot entertain or at least fulfill the basic need of me staying interested then it has no place in being well rated, no matter how artistic and original.

1.5 stars is on the harsh side, but I would say 3.5 is on the generous side of things. A 1.5 star = not good, 2 stars is "so-so". A so-so movie I will watch again, so that is why it gave it a 1.5 star. I am thinking of entertainment/enjoyment value and not the film's artistic merit. If we had a separate rating for that then maybe it would be different.

Ahh see, I think making a good movie is more important than staying true to the 12 issues. I am sure if I was a fan of the GV I would think differently. Also the "growl" that Bale uses in Batman is horrible as well and one of my pet peeves of his character. But the low growl of Rorschach wasn't my problem, it was the fact he was talking through the whole thing. I didn't like the amount of narration, I thought that made it drag.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Review comment

I completely agree with you on the lack of chemistry between Brad and Cate. It was really really weak. And "Kind of felt like it drags you all the way through and by the time it’s done you’ve also aged 50 years waiting for it to end." HA! Very funny.

No kidding. Also was not marketed well.
