It's easy to look back on "The Road to El Dorado" as a Disney Renaissance imitator, but seeing it now it's not hard to appreciate as an underrated gem for its free-spirited charms.

The plot, characters, and humor are all completely predictable to a fault. It does these things competently, only on an expected level. It's not a particularly bad movie. It just left me bored from it's absolute same-ness.
