Just a lot of fun - especially watching Jack Black channel a vapid 16-year-old girl, but Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan and Keven Hart (and, hell, even Nick Jonas) all look like they are having a great time and this fake video game movie is pretty much better than any actual video game movie that has been made. The end does create a time paradox (don't think on it too much) but otherwise, it's a fun ride featuring deadly cake allergies, dance battles, rhino trampling and personal growth.

“I think we got, like, sucked into the game.
And we’ve become the avatars that we chose.”
I was sure about one thing. A remake of “Jumanji” is the same as repainting the Mona Lisa and exhibiting this copy. Ridiculous, inglorious and unnecessary. I was afraid this movie would be ridiculed and laughed with. And on top of that, they’ve asked Dwayne Johnson to join. Not exactly an actor you’ll see in what they call the “better” films. I thought it would be something like “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” and that I would curse the makers afterwards, because they dared to copy a milestone with the late Robin Williams starring in it. For once, however, I have to admit that I was wrong. It’s been a long time since I’ve amused myself so much while watching a …

"I hate this game"
This is kinda awkward isn't it. When you anticipate failure, but got something different. Those trailers didn't do any justice for this.
'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' aims to entertain families and succeeds just on that. Was it great? NOPE. Was it terrible? Not really. I enjoyed the film is basically what am trying to say.
It's got flaws - The storytelling is really generic and you can pin point how scenes are gonna turn out. It never gets intense during the urgent moments. The villain is so forgettable that I can't even remember his name. Which is a shame because Bobby Cannavale is a great character actor and I've seen him do incredible stuff, however his talent is put to waste here.
Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart all had …

Watch this be better than the Tomb Raider remake.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of 2017 as far as movies go, JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE is a joyful and entertaining sequel to the beloved '95 hit family adventure. Watching actors like Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan play basically teenagers lost in the jungle is a real hoot. The movie plays with the cliches with cheesy 90s video games. The creepy retro board game from the Robin Williams movie is now a silly 'Uncharted' ripoff action/adventure multi-player with increasingly illogical levels and bizarre threats. Really, the movie plays out more like a better version of the adequate if unoriginal GOOSEBUMPS movie from 2015; also starring Jack Black funny enough. There are few family movies like JUMANJI: WECLOME TO THE JUNGLE these days that also work as a solid …
