Action: 3 / 3, Comedy: 0 / 2, Good vs Evil: 1 / 1, Love/Sex: 1 / 1, Special Effects: 0.5 / 1, Plot: 0.5 / 1, Music: 0.5 / 1 = 6.5 / 10 or 65%. This is the most superior Highlander film to date outside of the original. The team from Ninja Scroll turn the franchise animated and introduce new characters and a new apocalyptic reality, which is more entertaining and solid than the atrocities that followed the original. The eternal Highlander flaw, which is attempting to make the main immortals seem more human and sympathetic to the viewer, is overtly used to no end though. Fans of the series may therefore grow somewhat tired of the "immortals can't love humans because humans die" theme.
