A film about a beaten down and past his prime boxer. It has some nice scenes and is very sentimental, and in the end sad. The ending was possibly needlessly sad but its an enjoyable to watch old movie thanks to the relationship between Wallace Beery and Jackie Cooper. It is a nice relationship and overall a nice movie to watch. The movie does not do whole lot or do anything truly great but it is good. Oscar Win Wallace Beery Best Actor 3/5- Beery gives a nice sentimental performance. It is very old fashioned but he gives a good one nonetheless. He works well with Jackie Cooper and gives just a completely nice performance just like the film. Not great but good.
