Plot: Follows the life of a young doctor, Andrew Manson. His first job at a
Welsh mining town is cut short when his persistence at looking into the
coughing spell of local miners is thwarted. Moving to London, his practice
falters as well, until a friend turns him on to milking rich
hypochondriacs out of their money. But it takes a great shock to open his
