One of the forgotten Bunuel classics, I really liked this one. It also took me awhile to track it down, because many consider it to be one of his worst films. However, I really enjoyed it being an admirer of the director. It was far more enjoyable than say Death in the Garden or La Joven (The Young One) another one of his awful movies that some defend. But La Joven is truly one of the very worst films, Bunuel or otherwise. Gran Casino is about a group of honest men fighting to make a living. There are silly musical numbers which make no sense. But I think they're funny. This movie is still good, despite its not being among Bunuel's best.
