The Iron Man 3 Teaser Trailer - Let Phase 2 Begin

I've said before that we were going to hit a super hero saturation point at some time. Yet if The Avengers taught me anything, it's that when done right, a movie with a bunch of actors in outrageous costumes battling it out can actually be not only entertaining in a blockbuster sense, but make a good film.

There was a big gamble on introducing Iron Man, but once that was a success, it was pretty much a no-brainer to go after Captain America and Thor. Although The Incredible Hulk hasn't been as lucky on the big screen, altogether the films made up what the studio called Phase 1 (aka - the origin stories of all these guys) and now, with Iron Man 3 coming on May 03, 2013, it's time for Phase 2.

The Iron Man 3 Teaser Trailer doesn't exactly give a lot away: the big bad this time around is The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) and it looks like he's going to make things personal by going after not just Tony Stark and Iron Man, but his greatest love Pepper Potts. And he isn't above blowing up a lot of things to get his point across.

With Thor: The Dark World also coming next year (Nov. 08, 2013) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier coming April 04, 2014 - if I had to sum up what Phase 2 is going to bring, it's that our "heroes" are going to find out, to use an oft-quoted phrase: "With great power comes great responsibility." - not just to the world and themselves, but to the people they care about. Oh, yes, I think Phase 2 is going to get personal and I don't know if everyone going to survive.

I know I'm anticipating Iron Man 3 (which, even from the teaser, is already looking better than the disappointing second act) - are you still anticipating these heroes, or has it been played out? Make your voice known!

I would watch a new Hulk movie as well. There is always that hope that someone will get Hulk right. LOL

I might still give Hulk a chance, as long as they stick with Mark Ruffalo for the role.

I agree the second Iron Man wasn't great but it wasn't nearly as bad at 3/4s of what Hollywood puts out every year. I can;t help but like Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark he will keep me coming back. This one looks much darker then the first two and over all I like what the trailer showed me. This might even be a opening weekend see for me, and that does not happen often. I am excited for the rest of the phase 2 movies but this is probably the only one I will see in the theatres until Avengers 2 in 2015. Capitan America was good and Thor was above average but Iron Man is hands down my favourite of the bunch.

I am done with Iron Man. The second movie was not good and his love interest is really fake (worse than Keanu and Carrie Ann from the matrix). I could get behind Thor and maybe a few other characters but not iron man and definately not Hulk!
