this film deserves a uncut version to be release by paramount pictures and tom cruise, john wood was insulted because the film was 3 hours long the studio and editors interference made a mess of this movie alot of scenes are deleted all good action scenes including the final bike chase fight on the beach in sydney australia where ethan hunt and sean ambrose jump on a mountain ambrose tries to pull his gun out and ethan(tom cruise) pushes him from the cliff, you can see it in the trailer alot of the footage is missing, this is the reason people hate this film because they dont know the truth tom cruise is directly responsible for this didnt he watch what was going on,its been almost more that 18 years now this film will be 20 years old soon enough, and still no deleted scenes are released,5 …

"Mission Impossible 2" by Yojimbo

Ethan Hunt recruits the skills of a beautiful jewel thief to recover a lethal virus that was stolen by a rogue IMF agent. Brian De Palma's attempt to make a more adult spy movie in the original Mission Impossible is jettisoned in favour of the usual Hollywood blockbuster histrionics and to be fair, MI: 2 has dated rather better as a result. It plays out very much like its contemporary Bond films and a gorgeous Thandie Newton conjures some pretty decent chemistry with Cruise in the early scenes of the film. In fact John Woo shows some unusual restraint for the first two acts and his trademark stylised action works extremely well for an exciting research facility heist. Dougray Scott also makes a suitably Machiavellian villain as "Dark Ethan" and it all shapes up to be an enjoyable if …

Mission: Improbable Too!

This film took everything that made the television series interesting and tossed it in the trash. Instead of relying on a clever plot with the twists, turns, and suspense of double-and triple-agents, John Woo resorts to action sequences that have no basis in reality, and those stupid masks. The fact that this one made the most money of the three films is a sad statement about today's film audiences.

The film also earned a SmokeScreeners rating of 3 Butts (http://tinyurl.com/qarw7q). There are two prominent scenes involving tobacco. The first occurs when the villain (Dougray Scott) punishes his number-one man (Richard Roxburgh) by snipping his finger with a cigar cutter. The other takes place when the owner of a pharmaceutical company (Brendan Gleeson) is seen smoking in his …

Mission: Impossible II

The least satisfying out of the three that has been released. Pretty much everything about this film is lackadaisical: the plot, the actors, the action sequences, and most importantly, its tone. For a spy film, this picture is too simplistic, too light, and too unfocused. Not to mention it didn't have the swagger nor the edginess of the first one. This time around, the villain is too one-dimensional to the point where I almost didn't believe he was evil, but in fact, just trying to be evil. And I think that factor encapsulated this film: instead of being enjoyable, it only ended up trying to be one without being fully realized. It's a shame because instead of taking the simple route, they could've used the sequel to establish the intricacies of the spy world.
