If "Eden" had just focused on the irony of these characters escaping a civilization that they believe is destroying itself, only to breakdown and lose all their humanity themselves, Ron Howard might of had something. But that potentially powerful centerpoint gets lost in a whirlwind of inconsistent tone and acting.
