Ever since Die Hard, Christmas and action go hand-in-hand and David Harbour is having a ball as a new Santa with muscles (and a fine hammer) as he finds himself trapped in a home with a wealthy family, a group of very naughty criminals and one, young believer (Leah Brady) - and big fan of Home Alone. John Leguizamo gets to be a bad guy, Beverly D'Angelo is in another Christmas classic and Cam Gigandet channels Mark Wahlberg. Oh, and the title lives up to its name as there is buckets of blood - even if it's a cheeky kind of violence.

Not as clever as it thinks it is but this was still a fun action-comedy with a dark sense of humor. David Harbour is good as a weary Santa Claus that comes to the rescue of a family held hostage by mercenaries.

"Violent night. Gory night. All is calm. If all doesn't want to get shot in the fucking head." Dumb, violent, and lots of fun. It's a mixture of Die Hard 1 & 2, Home Alone, and a little bit of Bad Santa. So, with all of those examples in mind, you have some idea of what type of movie you're getting.
