When Dave Bautista said he would rather be in good movies than the Fast & Furious franchise, he said that as a turning point in his career after his regret starring in this movie. Well, there's my fan fiction for you guys. Hope you liked it.

It always takes so much effort to watch and then review comedies like "Stuber." Since they aren't funny, their stories are empty and tedious. Just sitting down and paying attention has never felt more like manual labor.

Pairing Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani in an action comedy had me intrigued. The plot, however, is glossed over to focus on the comedy but the laughs are few and far between. The action scenes are subpar outside of the opening. An interesting premise that falls flat quickly.

Wannabe buddy flick that’s far more unpleasant than expected. Even as stock action characters go, Dave Bautista is too much of a hardass jerk whilst Kumail Nanjiani is uncharacteristically annoying instead of endearing. There’s an early scene in a strip club that’s kind of funny. But the rest is stuff you saw better in other buddy-cop comedies. It even does the “recognizable actor is secret villain” twist in the third act. The fact that Uber has been revealed to be a scummy company makes the feel-good presentation ring hollow.
