Boring when it's not unpleasant. Robert De Niro is committed as the crazed obsessive sports fan though.

I recalled The Fan was descent, but nothing spectacular. It was basically Robert De Niro showcasing his large range of acting ability. He was a knife salesman bent on meeting, controlling and to an extent. His favorite baseball player, played by Wesley Snipes, was alright. Soundtrack and direction were not that impressive, but somewhat the plot was a bit entertaining.

This isn't a great movie by any stretch but it kept me interested and the story was well paced. Also you get another very solid performance from Robert Deniro and Wesley Snipes does a solid job. The movie also gives a cool perspective on how some fans take things far to serious and the stress players feel under the bright spotlight of professional sports. Overall not a must see but not a bad watch if you catch it on TV.

Run-of-the-mill thriller with Robert De Niro playing yet another unhinged individual and Wesley Snipes playing another baseball player (I still prefer him in Major League). OK but entirely forgettable.
