Gantz is buildt upon a typical horror tragedy manga. Given this is a feature movie and it is a japanese movie, all the sex references and scenes have been left out, but the movie follow the manga most of the time. The script is intelligent and very different from what we are used to, and Gantz allready have a massive fan base in Japan and in communities where manga movies are popular.
The story is well written, and is about a young teenage boy that is on his way to a job interview. He is standing on the subway platform when he recognizes his childhood friend that he haven't seen in many years. A drunk pass out and fall down on the subway track, and all the people on the platform just watch him as the subway train get closer to the station. After a while his childhood friend jumps down …
